OH No Lysha!! No you didn't!!! Toooo Funny!

Ok, do you remember Lysha?? the abused Husky that Celena and I rescued??... Well...I just HAVE to write about this, I am still laughing so hard. Celena, my daughter called me this morning from California and as we are talking she tells me about their friend who also lives with them and is in the service with Celena's hubby, anyway the young man who I won't say his name, will call him John Doe, so John Doe is going to be leaving the country for about a week, he is on leave for about 8 days and is going to be visiting in another country during that time.
Sooo, John Doe occasionally likes to party when he is on leave. So this girl he is sort of seeing had bought some pot, paid about $40.00 for it, supposed to be good stuff. Anyway she brings it over and gives it to John Doe to keep until tomorrow when he and his girl friend and a few other of his friends were going to get together and party b/f John Doe leaves for his trip abroad. So John Doe has the pot in the house. So, while Celena and Michael and John Doe were all sleeping last night, Lysha sniffs out the pot, EATS every bit of it and leaves the chewed up baggy in the living room floor!! OMG, I am still laughing soo hard, I thought it was hillarious!! Of course we all know now that Lysha would make a great drug sniffing police dog! But they would have to retrieve it from her b/f she eats it! But Lysha is fine today,I am sure she was feeling no pain for hours last night though!! Probably explains why she ate all the dog food in the dish during the night too....had the munchies after eating that dope! Now I don't smoke pot and don't agree with it but I think it is the less of the evils of drugs and I do think it is probably less harmless than some one getting filthy drunk all the time, but no I don't believe it is right. But I just had to laugh soo hard at Lysha and this little incident. I guess John Doe knows not to bring drugs into their house again! We don't want Lysha in Doggy rehab or hitting the streets looking for a dealer!HEE!!

FINALLY! Curly sheared properly..LOL!

Mr. Eddie came out today and sheared Curly. He has sheared him for a number of years now and he knows how to do it and what he is doing so I was so glad it finally got done. Curly's hair was felted and matted and with this heat I know the poor fellow was so miserable! He feels sooo much better now, and so do I!! Curly still gave Eddie a difficult time, he doesn't like being sheared at all, but I had given Curly a peanut butter and valium sandwich about 45 minutes b/f Eddie got here so he seemed to think it made a differnce and so do I. It is so hard to watch though b/c Curly gets soo upset, I worry due to his age especially and add the heat to it, well I stood inside and prayed the whole time of the shearing that Curly would be okay. I have had Curly about 13 years. But, the job is done now and Curly has all that heavy thick matted hair off him and he seems to feel much better, thank God once again he made it through the shearing!

My news

My son in law (pictured above, Michael Garcia) will be shipping out again for deployment to Africa the end of next month, please keep all our troops in your prayers. My daughter Celena will be coming back to this area when he leaves next month and thank God he will be out of the Navy when he returns and they won't be going back to California where he is stationed. Nothing against Calif.. it is just sooo far away from where I am!! Celena will be staying in Albany about 40 minutes from me, she has a job promised to her over there plus her best friend she grew up with lives there, we went to church over there all the time she was growing up so a lot of her friends are there plus Michael's family, she spent a lot of time in Albany so it is very familiar territory to her. Anyway, she will be close by so I am happy! My second news.. knew it would happen. Some one copied my witch pattern exactly and stuck a frickin frog with it and put it on Pattern Cupboard as their own design with the New Fall Patterns. They shrunk it down and painted the eyes on differently than what I did with them, but yup, my pattern copied exactly. Grrrrrrrrrrr! Well, got things to do and places to go so hope you have a safe and Blessed week!

Celena

Please keep Celena in your prayers. Her doctor wants to see her at 8 Monday morn to discuss all her test results. Am praying she will easily be able to get this taken care of what ever it is that was wrong. I worry so much about her, she is still my baby even though she is 23 years old now and being so far away from her, well it is very difficult. Thanks so much for your prayers.

Jessica and Friends

Jessica and some of her friends at the Beach in Bradenton, Florida ready for Graduation Night!

Jessica ....crowned Senior Court Princess this year!

Jessica (orange gown, 1st one on right) and some of her friends at the beach a couple days b/f High School Graduation!

What a beautiful picture, makes me cry! She is all grown up now.

My beautiful Niece graduated

(Pictured above is Sophie(my sis in law), My brother Jimmy and his beautiful daughter who is my niece, Jessica)
My beautiful niece Jessica graduated from South East High School in Bradenton, Florida night b/f last. She has accomplished so much and I am so very, very proud of her for all the great accomplishments she has made and most of all for making the RIGHT choices she has made all these years.
When Jessica was barely 8 years old, her biological mother whom she lived with, took her own life in the very room with Jessica. My brother Jimmy, who is her biological father, and his wife Sophie who has become nothing but MOM, not step mom to Jessica, have had custody of her ever since. She is their only child.
Jessica started making Honor Roll in grade school at that time and has ever since. She was senior class president and presided over the graduation Ceremony the other night, introducing all the speakers and giving the welcome speech at the begining of the Ceremony. Jessica was state and Divisional weight lifting champion as a senior this year!!
In her Freshman year, Jessica was on drill team, volleyball team, was vice president of her class and was crowned the Freshman Princess that year. As a Sohomore, she was on the Sophomore advisory board and continued her weightlifting and sports participation, earning medals in weightlifting. Her Junior year she was again on the advisory board, was junior class secretary and helped plan the prom. Also she joined the National Honor Society which requires a 3.5 grade point average or higher, she made it to state finals that year in weight lifting and placed with a medal, She was the Manatee County Champion for her weight class.
Jessica said her dream the first three years of high school was to become class president of her senior class.. and YES she accomplished that!! She won, she was elected Senior Class President!! Woot Woot!!! She was crowned Miss Senior Court in the pageant, placed in a talent show where she choreographed her own dance.. was awesome! She joined many clubs as a senior such as "Noles for Christ" (the school mascott is the South East Seminoles, thus Noles), Seminole Pride Club which was basically community service, National Honor Society again and Senior Advisory Board. In addition she joined Drill Team and says she enjoyed spinning that 9 pound rifle and marching. Her Drill Team went to the State finals and brought home trophies! Jessica also joined track team and of course continued in weight lifting, she went to state finals again placing 5th in the ENTIRE STATE for her weight lifting this year in her weight class doing 135 pound bench press and 155 pound clean and jerk lift, winning medals again!! She also became a Senior Notable which only 16 students are selected for this honor by teachers, her grades were in the top 10% of her class. This is why she got to wear Orange cap and gown at graduation instead of the blue gown.
Jessica has joined the United States Navy and will be shiping out July 19th. She is going to be an Operation Specialist, which is radar tracking on the ship. Jessica wants to do Power Lifting in the weight lifting after joining the Navy! She has BIG plans for her future and I don't doubt she will more than conquer and accomplsih anything and everything she sets out to do.
I am so very, very proud of her. Instead of falling prey to bad choices and lame excuses, she has stood tall and acccomplsihed so much. Jessica, her dad Jimmy (my brother) and (step) mom live below poverty level and have struggled desperately to get by month to month all these years, yet Jessica has not let any of that stand in her way of being a great success so I just can not and will not ever accept excuses I hear from these kids and adults who commite horrific crimes and use thier poor poverty stricken life or a tragedy as an excuse for rolling over into bad choices and drugs or for being a failure. Jessica has lived with a very low income level all these years and also has overcome the worst tragedy a child could possibly face, seeing her mother take her own life in front of her, yet Jessica chose to push forward full force and turned her life into great success and accomplishments! But I will say she did have one great advantage.. she has a mom and Dad who love her very much, support her in all she does, encouarge her and have led her to the church doors and shown her what it is to be not only a church member but to be active in the church and community in spite of their great financial struggles. She has been a great example for us all and my brother (her dad) says Jessica is his Hero! And through all this she is the most down to earth and humble person, has never been a 'Click" or snob and even just for that I am so proud!! I love you Jessica!!! So very proud. May God be with her, protect her and bless her all the days of her life. Go Jessica!!!!!!!!!

Tuesday news and My Container Garden....

Hope everyone had a SAFE Memorial Day. My conatiner garden (pic above) is doing quite well, better than I expected! I have gotten squash, green peppers and cherry tomatoes off of it so far, actually those are the only 3 things I have growing so I would say it is a sucess! The bell peppers I ate for the first time from it last night and oh what a difference from the ones you get at the store, soo sweet and delicious! (AND FREE!!) We had an awesome church service Sunday morn and evening, I am feeling much better and have actually been able to start sewing again! Still hard to find motivation some times with the heat so bad, but at least so much of the other stuff I was feeling and suffering with has been lifted! Thank God! Sandy got a great report from her doc about her pet scan this morning so Praise the Lord for that!!! Please continue to pray for my Celena, she had to go to hospital this morn for test and has to go back this afternoon for more, has to go again tomorrow morn for another test and should find out some results Friday. All prayers appreciated! Thank You so much! Enjoy your week everyone, be safe and take care!
Blessings to all.

Hello

Haven't posted for days so I wanted to write a quick note... have been feeling so very exhausted and sick and tired ever since I got out of the hospital, had very few good days but today I am actually feeling a little better but still very tired feeling over all. Have Doc appts all next week so I hope to see if maybe I need a little blood work or something or if it is normal to still be feeling this tired and wore out. It was a month ago yesterday and the day before that I had the surgeries, two days in a row of surgery. I really thought I should be back to normal by now but am certainly not. As far as my baby Celena, she had a thyroid ultrasound today, more blood work and has to go to hospital the 31st for some nuclear medical test of some sort... they are still trying to get to the bottom of it all. She calls and keeps me informed. They did say she has some sort of heart murmur in the left chamber of her heart but there is more to her problem than that.
Hope everyone out there is safe from that awful weather! I know last month during my illnes that a large number of you who sent cards and care pkgs live in Missouri and nearby. I have been prayng for you all and hope you are all safe and sound!! Please have a blesssed and safe weekend. My prayers go out to all of you who have been affected in any way by that horrible bad weather. God Bless you and yours!

Yet Another Blessing!

Yesterday (Sunday) my sister Teresa and her hubby Bob showed up at my door around six in the evening totaly unexpected! They live about 6 hours away, are here to help me out for a few days. She didn't tell me they were coming cause she knew I would try to clean house, etc and yes I would have tried and oh I am so not up to it at this point. I am still so tired, in pain, and exhausted and a bit confused but I know will get better. But my BIG worry of how will I get to the store and such has been answered by Almighty God once again! They didn't think I would be out of the hospital this soon and my brother in law had a couple doc appts so they weren't able to be here any sooner when I got out of hospital like they wanted to be. I was very surprised to see them. Will be a big help to me and glad to see them too. God Bless!

Eating Humble Pie

Part of front yard

My Container garden, seems to be doing okay.

Front of house, front porch

Side of house and part of barn

Side of house, part of back yard shows. I really didn't get any pics of back yard

but they did a beautiful job on it ALL! Just wish it would stay this way! LOL!

My wonderful Pastor Ricky (dark blue shirt) and the three wonderful youth from church who came out and worked so hard yesterday on my terribly overgrown yard. Blake, Taylor and also another young man named Blake They did such an awesome job and oh how much I appreciate their terrifically hard work and how beautiful it all looks now! Thank you so much guys! Your all just great!

Some of the cards and a couple dolls I received while in the hospital this time. I set them up in

my living room after I got home. Each and every one is so special and one person sent me

some candy... yup, I ate it all, was delicious!! Thanks so much to each and every single one, you

all have put a smile on my face and a happy beat in my heart! I just love the dolls, cards,

candy, kind facebook and blog comments, just absolutely EVERYTHING! I truly mean it. I

can't believe it when I look at all of them! God Bless and Thank You!!

****Well I had reached rock bottom spiritually and emotionally as I got sicker here recently b/f I was admitted to hospital and had the surgeries. So many things happened and I was feeling as though I had no one in the world or in my church but in that late deepest darkest hour, God's Light suddenly Beamed in all it's brightness. I must say I feel so humbled and overwhelmed with joy in what God can do in the blink what seems like a dark hopeless situation. My dear pastor , his wife, and several ladies from the church stopped in to see me while I was in the hospital, also my nieghbor Roger and his daughter Amanda came by to me see me several times. I received so many cards, a couple handmade dolls and a few care pkgs while in there and it made me feel so good and special, what a blesssing every bit of it from the phone calls, cards to visitors, just everything and the church sent me a beautiful potted plant. I came home late this past Thursday afternoon I believe it was and Saturday morn I was awoken to the sound of mowers, etc, I looked out the window and there was my pastor and 3 of the youth from the church mowing my yard, they worked hard for at least a couple hours or more it was such an overgrown mess and I have a very large yard. I couldn't believe it, what a wonderful blessing for them to be doing. I had to get a group pic of them after they were done I was so touched. Then the day b/f a lady I didn't even know dropped off a few bags of groceries to me, stuff I could make for myself like lunch meat sandwich and cereal. Last night my neighbor cooked a wonderful dinner and sent some over to me. I must say I have been very humbled by it all and so ashamed of how I had felt like I was such a nobody to the church and that even God didn't care about me anymore. I felt so ugly about myself and the way I was thinking and feeling and my ill feelings toward God and the church even. I was just down so low. I confessed it all to my dear pastor who is always so kind and understanding. . God has truly blessed and taken care and watched over me even as I am so very undeserving. I posted pics above of how nice my yard looks now and a pic of the gracious kind fellows who spent their Saturday morning out here working so hard in my yard just because I couldn't do it and they wanted to do it. God Bless all of you, and Have a Happy Mother's day to all you Mom's out there! God Bless All of you!!!! And thanks so much dear God for your wonderful mercy and forgiveness.

Home at last!

I convinced them to release me yesterday afternoon but I am so tired and just do not feel well. Right now there will be a home care nurse out every day. I have just been too tired to even check the email or anything but I do want to say a great big THANK YOU to so many of you who sent cards and pkgs. I am just overwhelmed at the out pouring of cards and messages I have received and believe me each and every one of them have been so special and meant so much to me. I want to send out more personal thank you's to all of you when I get to feeling better but right now I just not thinking clearly and so tired. I was in the hospital 11 days here in Moultrie this time instead of having to go to Atlanta like last time. I had to have emergency surgery the day the doc saw me she sent me straight to be admitted to hosptal it was so bad,I lost a lot of blood after the first surgery where they left the wound open so they had to give me blood transfusuions again, was on oxygen for about next 8 or 9 days & constant IV antibiotics again too, then I had to have a second surgery the very next morning plus have a pump placed in my arm to draw infection and poison from my arm and chest which was on my left arm so they were concerned about it reaching my heart cause they said it was already spreading into my chest cavitiy. Apparenetly that methotrexate medication they have had me on for my Rhuematoid Arthritis has lowered my immune system too low and all lowed that very near deadly infection almost two years ago to set up at the base of my spine and they believe this time it is the same thing. The infection this time had started to set up in my left shoulder and arm when I got hurt a few weeks ago but I did not realize how serious it was, i got so sick from the infection that I fell in the back yard onto a rusty nail and at that point with in a couple of days it spread infection all in my arm, swelled up in HUGE bright red long lumps and ferverish and already started spreading into my chest cavity toward my organs (heart and lungs) which they told me would be deadly, so they said I have escaped death twice in less than two years from practically the same thing. . Needless to say I will not take that methotrexate for my RA anymore, don't know what I will do about that besides PRAY FOR A MIRACLE! But I just wanted to say I am home and thanks sooo very much for all of you who have been so kind and sweet and sent cards and pkgs., comments, I appreciate every bit of it and I would also like to say thanks to my neighbor Roger and his daughter Amanda who have kept an eye on my house for me, fed my goat and chickens and taken care of things for me during this whole sickness. I was so sick from the infection and all b/f I went to the hospital that Roger was coooking and bringing me dinner over for several nights b/f I was admitted cause I was just too sick to cook , hardly even knew my own name.. honestly! and since I have been home now he has brought dinner to me a few times also. It is such a blessing to have people in your life that care and share and that are there when you need them. Thanks again everyone,I think I am just so give out and tired, can't think straight anymore tonight... I need to get back to bed. Not supposed to stay up very long at a time...doc's orders. Have a blessed, safe and wondererful evening everyone. God Bless all of you!!!.

Nothing Happened

Waited here until 7 pm for them to come back and shear Curly today as they said they would, I had to leave then to run an errand. They had called and also sent me a text earlier yesterday so they knew how to reach me plus know where I live of course. But they just didn't bother showing, calling texting,.... nothing. So Curly still has a horrible chop job hair cut on one side and scraggly long hair everywhere else and I am in excruciating pain still, mostly my shoulder. Guesss I will have to search once again for some one to shear him. We are supposed to have severe storm cell move through here all night from about midnight through around 7 a.m, so I am going to buckle down and try to stay awake, it is about 10:30 pm now...those storms scare me! So I will probably weather watch all night! Might take the dogs, some blankets, and sleep in the barn with Curly tonight, not kidding either! Have a Blessed evening everyone.

I got brutalized this afternoon....OOUCH soo bad!

I got beat up this afternoon. New people came to shear Curly, they were professional with gentle lambs and small goats they show and raise BUT had no idea what they were in for. Curly is stubborn, strong, spoiled, demanding and will fight with all he has when it comes to shearing. They put him on a metal platform and put his head into that thing, he fought like heck, there were 4 or us! I had to help hold him with all my might which tore up my hands, ankles, & shoulder cause of the bad RA I have. He pulled my shoulder joint really bad when he tried to run with me when I had the leash on him, almost pulling me to the ground. Curly was so upset trying to get lose, he bucks and jumps frantically, ends up kicking me right smack in the chest with that hoof about 2" below my throat on those bones. That is hurting worse by the hour. I am aching so bad from trying to hold onto him. I feel like my fingers, shoulder, hands and ankle joints are on fire, fingers, hands and shoulder are pulsating in pain. When I lie down and close my eyes I feel like I am falling. Can hardly walk now and I was just in tears this afternoon cause I can't stand to see Curly so upset and the shearing gets so brutal. But this time I was the one who got brutalized! I am so afraid he is going to have a heart attack from the stress cause he is old. I have had him about 13 years. He didn't mean to hurt me of course, he was just so upset. So as it ends up he finally breaks their clippers, snaps the metal post that he was chained to right off the platform, tears off running into the back yard and into the barn with the metal post and chain still attached to him. They got that off and decided they will have to drug him tomorrow (Monday) to finish the job and bring larger heavy duty clippers. Now I am so scared the drugs may kill him. They told me today he is better off being upset and stressed than drugged due to his age. But his hair is sooo very long and felted and just a horrible mess this time, he has to be sheared. They said the felted tight hair is probably pinching and hurting him too, I agree. It started to grow out after I had that surgery year ago October, so I was unable to really deal with trying to handle him in any way for almost a year due to that back surgery and he is so strong, doesn't want to be brushed or anything. So now his hair is an awful mess and needs to come off for his health and comfort. I love Curly so much, he is my baby and all I have here anymore. He is like a dog that you are so terribly attached to. After they left he was fine, except he had a horrible chop job done with about a 20" by 20" place shaved on one side only! I was still in tears and upset that he would be ill. But looks like I got the much worse end of it all but I'd rather it be me than poor Curly. I went back out to the back yard later and he came up to me, I bent down a little, cause he wanted to give me a kiss,That is how he does... he gives me kisses on the cheek and then he laid his head on my shoulder so I would hug him, so of course I did. He is so special to me, I hate to think of losing him. Hope and pray tomorrow will go smooth, don't think I can stand to watch. If you are an animal lover, please say a prayer for his safety and comfort tomorrow. Well back to the couch, I am in horrible and I mean horrible pain. All I have done is lay there and cry and moan for over a couple hours. Have the fan on and the dog is lying at the other end of the couch and keeps farting so guess where it is blowing, oh yes, lovely odor! Last thing I need tonight, a gassy dog. Why can't every day just go smooth?? Don't even begin to try to answer that!

Sunday Lunch

My "fresh out of the oven, butter bubbling out the top, home made Chicken Pot Pie!" Is your mouth watering yet?? Mine sure is. Got home from church this afternoon, took the doggies out and let Curly go for a short walk to graze in the woods and then I came in and made this Chicken pot pie, always from scratch, don't eat frozen dinners! It smells soo good, put lots of Itallian Seasoning in it, just had to take a pic, LOL, fresh out of the oven. Blogging while I waited for it to cool a little....Well, time to get a glass of iced Tea and have myself some Sunday Lunch...just me and my doggies! Blessings to all.

Just Because....

Just a really Blah wet cold day, rain and thunder all day practically. Unloaded some pics off the camera I had forgotten I took last week. This is my bedroom, the old bed came from my Dad's shed after he passed away. He had told me to take it b/f he passed away. The hanging light came from Sandy's mom and dad, he gave it to me after his wife passed away.
This is my Bayshore High School Graduation picture, Bradenton, Florida where I am from. The picture hangs on my bedrom wall. Oh to be that size again!
Miley on my bed.
This is a lamp I had ordered from Colonial Tin some long time ago, think it stayed in a box for almost a year or more b/f I ever even opened it and set it out.
A bunny I had won off ebay a couple months ago. I really like it, it is simple and very well done.
Another pic of my old bed, I love the floor lamp standing beside the bed. It is very old also.
Came home with 20 bolts of fabric last week. Most of them were not full bolts. Some one I knew was selling off a lot of their fabrics so I went to their house and shopped. Got great deals on it.

Spring Sprung

Planted these flowers several years ago, they come back up every year. So pretty, I just love flowers. Wish I had the time and energy to really get some flower beds going.

Garden pics..LOL

My pitiful little porch garden..LOL.. oh well, better than nothing for sure! This is my squash plant, think, I have 3 of them altogether.

Tomatoes and a squash plant on my porch garden. I also planted an area of Sweet Annie out in the backyard a few minutes ago. It is one plant that Curly won't eat so I can plant it where ever I want w/o worrying about him devouring it. I have several more places I am going to plant Sweet Annie.

Planting a Mini Garden

Well it isn't what I wanted but all I can manage right now. Wanted to get a large area tilled up in my front side yard for a big garden but don't have the means to do it at this point so I got 6 of the very large black plastic pots and made a mini garden on my back porch. About the only place I can do it for now that I don't have to worry about Curly getting to it. The sun hits it real good so I have 3 of the smaller breed tomato plants, 2 yellow squash and 1 green bell pepper plant going. Need to get more bell pepper plants for sure. Just finished with them, dug dirt from the back yard and lots of it from under the old chicken pens so they should be very well fertilized! But that is what I hear folks around here say to do so I am giving it a try. Next I am going to clear out a flower bed area and sprinkle sweet annie seeds to grow & try to preserve some myself this year. I always buy the preserved stuff off ebay, they are great but getting way too expensive for what you get for your dollar. Sooo, I 'll give it a try and see if I can preserve it myself, have the instructions for it, if I don't succeed guess it will be back to old ebay and paying out the yang. I don't have any trouble growing it and I love the smell so at least it probably will be worth growing even if I don't succeed at preserving. Plus it will give me a whole new crop of new seeds for next time. Well, would love to have a pic of my porch garden(lol) but my camera batteries are dead and I am slap out of batteries! Until next time.. Blessings to All!

My Son In Law, Michael is headed for Japan with our Navy

Looks like Michael is going to Japan to help out with rescue efforts there. He is in the United States Navy, stationed at Port Hueneme in California
This is 2010 when his unit was in Aghanistan, he has been there twice already. It is a horrible place to be.
My dear Son In Law Michael Garcia. He is married to my precious baby girl, Celena Jem. They live in Oxnard, California. Michael is stationed there at Port Hueneme with the U.S. Navy. He has been to Afghanistan twice and by the Grace of God has made it home safely both times. Now he is headed to Japan to help with rescue efforts after this earth quake yesterday. He and Celena live in Oxnard, California right on the water at the harbor so I fear those tsunami's coming in from the quakes.May God be with all our Military and their families everywhere. My prayers go out to everyone affected by what has happened in Japan, to them and their families.
May God watch over them all.

Spring Lamb Wreath

This is a wreath I just finished, 28" wreath. Looks better in person and a bit more colorful. I used a sheep pattern from Raven's Haven. Hope to sell it at the Calico Spring Show next week. I hung an old cow bell at the top of the wreath.

Storms, Pets, and Being Lazy

Took the dogs out when I noticed the dark clouds rolling in. Supposed to rain so I wanted to let them out b/f it started and just as I was getting them back in the house, oh it started! Rumbles of thunder and heavy rain. Supposed to be severe tonight so guess I will have to hold down the fort here! LOL. I just looked out to see poor Curly starring at the rain through the fence on the barn door, he is so bored when it rains, doesn't like to get wet so he stays in the barn until it passes.

After they came in they all piled on my couch to take naps...all 3 dogs and of course Miley kitty! How useless are they?? Just look at them! Heee. I slept on the couch last night so my blankets are all thrown on the back of it, guess I need to get them folded.

Yes I am in the country as I said b/f so messes like you see here are common, I have cleaned it up a bit where some person whom I let use the shop and things for a while out there made a horrible mess everywhere and left it, drug in all sorts of trash and junk in my shop and yard and just lef it all for me to clean up, I mean it was just Awful!.. so nice of them wasn't it?? This is a small part of the back area that I have fenced in. I have cleaned it up a very great deal but still have more to go as you can see.

More of my chicken pen, this is in the back part of my property also. Junky looking but hey, I like it and it is the best I can do for now! Well, that's all for now.... got so much to do, just feel like curling up on the couch and going to sleep listening to the rain...Yawn!

New Pattern, Finally

This is Lucy Annie and Chicken. I made two of them so far, each with different color dress. She is a chunky 28" doll with painted chicken, aprox 7". Chicken is painted and cinnamon coated. Annie face is hand stitched, stripe painted legs, doll is stained, grunged, all primmed up and ready to go. She is available as a finished doll but extremely limited number can be made with the purina feed sack bottom dress featured in above photo. This fabric has not been available on the market for years now and I have a very limited amount of it. However I can make her dress from any other color. Finished doll is $49.95 ppd in USA.

Lucy Annie and Chicken, my new pattern, finally finished her up today. The e-pattern is available for $6.00, Mailed version is available for $8.50. Finished doll $49.95. Paypal buttons are on side bar at right if you wish to purchase doll or pattern. Thank you!

Just a Quiet Day in the Country!

My sweet dear brother Jimmy! Took this pic Sunday as they were getting ready to head back home. He has such a big heart and just loves animals. These are my three dogs and they all just loved him, even Corky, the border collie mix.. and she normally doesn't take to anyone and is VERY protective of me. But Jimmy won her over in a heartbeat even when they were here at Thanksgiving. I LUV U Jimmy!

The stray rooster that runs loose around out here all the time, has a little group of hens that follow him. He is big and pretty but can be a nuisance.
Look to the right and you can see PinWheel lying there in the grass, PinWheel is the little calico cat that has taken up here that I feed, been here since September I believe. She is precious, so petite, and not afraid of my dogs at all, they seem to get along well.
One of the cows across the street from me, I live on a dirt road and right out in front of my house is dear old Mr. Marvin Williams cow pasture.

The curious calf! So cute, Bella Magew, my neighbors new puppy, was barking at the calf, she didn't know what to think of them yet!

My sister, my brother and his wife all dropped in unexpectedly on me last Friday night, brought me a birthday cake and a few gifts, I was so surprised and so happy to see them. They came up from Bradenton, Florida where I am from. We had a wonderful visit, they stayed until Sunday afternoon. Miss them so much. My brother Jimmy is the sweetest most wonderful person you ever want to meet, his daughter is the one that won medals at the state weight lift. But, they have retrurned home now and it is back to the grind stone! I do have Sandy's visit to look forward to, she and Samantha will be here in a couple weeks for the show. It is so nice having company like this since I have no family or anyone that lives anywhere near me or even in this state. I walked out yesterday to see the calf looking back at me..LOL. Snapped a few pics. I just love old barns and farm scenes so I will share them with you!
