Christmas Around My House . December 2013

Next to the doorway in living room leads to my sewing room. Another Santa that my BFF Sandy had made. I believe he is from a Chestnut Junction pattern. The snowmen are all store purchases, imports.
The Kitchen! I have two very old Hoosier Cabinets in there, a large white one and a smaller brown one. This white one I have had about 20 years, the man I bought it from when I lived in Florida was in his 70's and it belonged to HIS grandmother!! It is an oldie for sure and is in very good condition. The cow picture hand painted on an old window was a local craft show purchase.I strung the lights over Hoosier cabinet and put the mini Mason Jar ornies on them. I made the reindeer head with glowing nose from a pattern.. can't remember who it is by. The Santa and Caroler are a project that Sandy and I made together when I visited her at Christmas. She decided we were going to do a project that year and come up with a pattern.. so we did.. she made the Santa and I made the Caroler. Such wonderful memories, I miss her so much.
Another view in kitchen, throw quilt on table. I bought the Red Bird salt and pepper shaker set @ Walmart in Starke when I was with Sandy yet another Christmas Season.
The Snowman sitter is one Sandy made and gave to me, he sits on the kitchen table. It had lights and more greenery but the years have taken a toll on him... poor guy.
My Prim Tree in the kitchen sits on a high chair that belonged to me as a child. My dear old Dad had held on to it all those years and gave it to me many years ago.The candles are painted as grunged candy canes , purchased off ebay. I wrapped rusty wire around them and hung them on the tree, an idea I got from Sandy. The grunged pipe cleaner garland is from The Olde Country Cupboard. I put a string of white lights on the tree also and I love it. Makes me think of Sandy.
The Brown Hoosier cabinet in kitchen. The doll is another Olde Green Cupboard purchase. The red and white quilt stocking is a reject piece that Sandy passed off to me.. lol.. and the rag strip and bead garland is hand made by my daughter Celena Jem.
An awesome perfectly prim fabric grunged card holder, paid small fortune for it years ago but I love it.  It's another purchase from a shopping trip with my BFF Sandy Schmidt at The Olde Green CupBoard!!!
