A Fire Tonight??

Trying to turn my unmotivated "Ho Hum" mood into some "Ho Ho Ho, MERRY CHRISTMAS!" mood.. going to turn on the electric fire place tonight (w/o the heat), put in my favorite Christmas Movie, a wonderful smelling gingerbread cinnamon tart, and FORCE myself to stitch and stuff some Christmas dolls tonight. Have a new pattern in the works also, plus I have dolls to make for my friend Sandy Patton that I am WAY behind on! Sooo Hopefully tonight the little workshop will be all a buzz here finally! heee!! !

Ok, how unmotivated and bored am I when I just take pics of the outdoors b/c it finally rained?? And you can't even see the rain falling in the pic??? UGH, I am having such a hard time making myself get to work this year!

At least in this pic you can see the rain on the ground.. REAL exciting, huh??? Actually it is great news that it rained b/cause we had been in a horrible drought for a while also like so many other places. Appreciate the Rain, Lord!!

New Santa Pattern, available as E-pattern also.

This is my New Pattern, "CHRISTMAS FROM THE ATTIC". This big Santa measures aprox 43", (no legs) has big prim bag of goodies for good little boys and girls. The Bear is not included in pattern, it was purchased from a Thrift Store.

Santa has an Antique old cutters quilt made into his coat and hat, rusty safety pins down front with rusty jingle bells attached.

His face has been very grunged with cinnamon and coffee stain, Santa has a pinched nose and button eyes. Sheeps wool is used for his beard, has been needle felted on. Stained batting for his coat and hat trim.

This is the only one I have made so far, he is the pattern cover model and is available for sale for $85.00 ppd in USA. His coat and hat are made from a Very Old antique handmade quilt that has been grunged and sun dried. Santa also has a battery operated grunged wax candle in his bag. Uses two AA batteries that will burn for a month on one set of batteries. He also has a few other little goodies stuck in his bag. Santa's bag is old prim looking tweed fabric with patches prim stitched on both sides and has a thick Jute rope strap. If you would like to purchase him, please contact me, this is the only one available at this time. Thanks so much for looking! Blessings to ALL!

Beautiful

http://youtu.be/0pSe42eYmxQ
For many years I have LOVED this song and finally found it on Your Tube! When I first heard it was by the Jackson Mass Choir when they came to our church in Bradenton, Florida. Had the CD but it got lost and have never been able to find another copy. Hope you enjoy!Blessings, Carmen

Just too Precious!

I just had to snap this pic! Poor Bristol, she has always been so insecure and follows me from room to room everywhere I go no matter what, seems scared to death she will be left behind. Bristol is the little black dog Celena found running scared along the busy highway in Albany about a year ago, so here at my house she landed and been here ever since. She is so insecure I have to take her with me when I go visit Sandy too. Well I was sitting on the couch this afternoon reading in my Dear Dad's old Bible. I laid it down on the couch to go get a glass of tea, Bristol had been lying there beside me, for once she didn't follow me into the next room, I came back in the living room to see her finding comfort in the word! LOL! She laid there so sweet with her head on Dad's old Bible, Had to grab the camera and snap this precious moment! I have a situation that is troubling me and I was seeking some scripture for comfort about it, well it seems as though God uses animals more than we know, Bristol seemed to be saying "Yup, it's all in here, I feel it too!" LOL!

A Bunny from Karen

Here is a pic of the adorable little Patriotic Bunny my dear friend Karen Betchan made and sent to me. She wanted me to have him for the 4th of July but he was a little late getting here, but that is fine. I dispalyed him in this old Hoosier Cabinet that I treasure by my SIL Michael's Navy pic, my little Patriotic Corner! Also there is the beautiful Patriotic card Karen made and sent with the bunny, isn't it too cute?? She makes the most precious cards! Have Blessed week everyone!

Busy Bee

Finally finished my first real projects since my surgery..LOL.. Took me long enough!! Oh My Stars.. I had this order hanging for ever and finally got them shipped out the other day. It had been so difficult to get back into working again, I had felt bad for soo long after that last surgery but thank God I feel so much better now and back on track.,. just need to stay motivated and I think a lot of that is the heat and AGE preventing me from working like I need to be, getting into my 50's has taken a toll for sure! Sandy and I are always trying to find legitimate excuses for why we aren't getting anything done but I think we have thought of everything and ran out of excuses now. But hey, it is hard to sit here thinking "Christmas" and make santa's with long wooly beards and heavy coats when it is 100 degrees outside! Soooo, just wanted to share these pics, these are both from my own pattern designs available on my website as finished items or pattern form. They are my Mammy Vaccum Cover and SunFlower Friends Bucket. I used an old rusty paint can I found from out in my shop to put the Sunflowers in. In the cupboard behind them you can see a darling Patriotic Bunny my dear friend Karen Betchan made and sent to me the other day. She does such beautiful work and makes the most adorable cards with all that scrap booking stuff, she is just awesome! I just loved the card as much as the bunny, I had to set it out for dispaly as well as the bunny rabbit! Have a Blessed Day everyone!

Christmas Decorating?? LOL!

Best Christmas Decoration story "Good news is that I truly out did myself this year with my Christmas decorations. The bad news is that I had to take him down after 2 days. I had more people come screaming up to my house than ever. Great stories. But two things made me take it down. First, the cops advised me that it would cause traffic accidents as they almost wrecked when they drove by. Second, a 55 year old lady grabbed the 75 pound ladder almost killed herself putting it against my house and didn't realize it was fake until she climbed to the top (she was not happy). By the way, she was one of many people who attempted to do that. My yard couldn't take it either. I have more than a few tire tracks where people literally drove up my yard."
